What does Obama mean by “remaking the courts?” Is that like fundamentally transforming America?

Obama Supreme Ruler King

Here’s the full quote for context via a WhiteHouse.gov transcript:

We were able to reform our financial system so that the likelihood of taxpayer-funded bailouts is a lot less than it was. We were able to expand funding for young people going to college. We were able to expand national service for young people who want to serve. We fought long and hard for consumer protections that weren’t there before.

As Lisa mentioned, we are remaking the courts. I know that we’ve got some lawyers here, and here in Texas sometimes people feel a little frustrated about the pace of appointments here in Texas. But you should know that in addition to the Supreme Court, we’ve been able to nominate and confirm judges of extraordinary quality all across the country on federal benches. We’re actually, when it comes to the district court, matching the pace of previous Presidents. When it comes to the appellate court, we’re just a little bit behind, and we’re just going to keep on focused on it.

#Benghazi – Talking Points Scrubbed 12 Times – Where Was Obama – Dems Getting Worried – ARB Excluded Clinton And Obama

President Obama and Hillary Clinton would like nothing more than for the whole Benghazi story to go away, but it’s not. ABC News reported today that the talking points coming out of the administration just after the terrorist attack that took four American lives on…

Perhaps he should have stuck to his “above my pay grade” line.

“It seems to me that an American pope would preside just as effectively as a Polish pope or an Italian pope or a Guatemalan pope,” the president said in an interview that aired Wednesday morning on ABC’s “Good Morning America.”

Last week campaign disclosure reports revealed that Hillary Clinton had finally retired the debt from her 2008 presidential campaign—with a little help from the guy who beat her, Barack Obama. Clinton’s debt once totaled more than $20 million, although it had dwindled to about $250,000 by last year.

From Examiner.com:

Reporter: Oscar press room ‘groaned loudly’ over Michelle Obama appearance

In a twist worthy of an M. Night Shyamalan film, it appears even the Hollywood mainstream media has had their fill of President and Michelle ObamaAccording to a reporter covering the Oscars, media in the press room at the Academy Awards “groaned loudly” when Michelle Obama appeared via satellite to announce the winner of Best Picture.

The incident was reported via tweet by Steven Gregory, a reporter for KFI 640 AM, a Clear Channel radio station in Los Angeles (his bio page can be viewed right here). Gregory was in the press room for the Academy Awards, and was the first (and so far one of the the few) reporters to acknowledge the reaction by the press when the First Lady appeared via satellite during the ceremony. His tweet read:

When Michelle Obama was introduced by Jack Nicholson most of the reporters in the media room groaned….loudly.

Gregory did not elaborate on the incident, so it is not clear exactly what the groans meant. One can speculate that the press was tired of seeing yet another Obama/Hollywood publicity stunt, which was a common occurrence during the campaign. Perhaps they thought the Academy Awards were beneath her standing as First Lady, or considered it a failed attempt at hipsterism, or perhaps they just had Obama fatigue. In any event, it was obvious the stunt did not go over well.

According to Breitbart.com, the appearance by Michelle Obama was part of a larger plan orchestrated by producer Harvey Weinstein. They point out that Naked DC reported Weinstein flew Oscar producers to Washington to work out the details with the First Lady’s staff weeks ago. Weinstein had also hired Stephanie Cutter, the Obama campaign PR head, to lobby Academy voters on behalf of his film, Silver Linings Playbook. Despite earning eight nominations, it only won one, as Jennifer Lawrence took home the Oscar for Best Actress.

During her appearance at the ceremony, Michelle Obama praised Hollywood for their “vitally important work,” which would include, we assume, Piranha 3DD, Ghost Rider 2, and whatever movie Eddie Murphy made last year.

Christopher Dorner Friend Of Democrats?

On February 8, 2013, in Democrats, by Dave

Christopher Dorner had plenty of nice things to say about a notable list of Democrats that includes the likes of Bill and Hillary Clinton, Senator Feinstein and President and Mrs. Obama. The entire manifesto with these details is posted at http://gawker.com/5982440 at the time of this writing.

It looks like the psychological profile of the rogue cop could fit well within the parameters of what the left would normally classify as right wing nut job.

Silly. Just like our current economic malaise is caused by devices and schemes intended to cure our economic malaise.

“The fact that we are here today to debate raising America’s debt limit is a sign of leadership failure. It is a sign that the U.S. government can’t pay its own bills. … I therefore intend to oppose the effort to increase America’s debt limit.”

Barack Obama, floor speech in the Senate, March 16, 2006

Obama decried raising the debt ceiling until he needed to raise it.
