Americans Paying Lower Taxes? Like Buying A Fridge on Deferred Payments

May 11th, 2010 by Dave

LOW TAX/HIGH TAX? Just because you buy a fridge with no payments for one year doesn’t mean you’re not paying too much for it. Any money acquired by the government(s) is provided by those who earn it. We pay by: direct tax, fees, property tax, consumption tax, built in price increases to cover cost of tax, decreased benefits, inflation disproportionate to income, etc. We’re paying the cost of everything the government spends. Everything. Or, we’re passing the cost to our kids. When our spending hits 100% or more of GDP we’ll look like something between Japan and Greece.

Democrats Who Voted Against the Healthcare Bill? Keep Or Vote Out Anyway?

March 22nd, 2010 by Dave

It’s time for a conservative majority.

Below is a short list of Democrats who voted no on the Healthcare bill. The rest voted yes. If your representative isn’t on this list, they need to be dumped off at the earliest opportunity. They aren’t listening to the American public and have ceased to fulfill their constitutional purpose. Furthermore, evaluate carefully, your representative even if found on this list of no votes. They may pose a threat in the future if they were simply allowed to cast a no vote after a sure margin was obtained. They could be arm-twisted in the future. Make sure your representative is a fiscal conservative if you feel they should retain a seat in the house.

As Newt Gingrich wrote today, ”

No one should be confused about the outcome of Sunday’s vote

This is not the end of the fight it is the beginning of the fight.

The American people spoke decisively against a big government, high tax, Washington knows best, pro trial lawyer centralized bureaucratic health system.

In every recent poll the vast majority of Americans opposed this monstrosity.

Speaker Pelosi knew the country was against the bill. That is why she kept her members trapped in Washington and forced a vote on Sunday.

She knew if she let the members go home their constituents would convince them to vote no.

Walter Reed Housing really needed a community organizer. Wait, it was already government run. Imagine how well things are going to work out when they run health care.

Truth In Advertising | Are Democrats Buying Up Ads On Conservative Blogs?

Are Democrats Buying Up Ads Here? A note about the ads on this site

It would seem that for a conservative viewpoint site, political ads centering on conservative audiences would be the logical outcome. Instead, a disproportionate ratio of progressive agenda ads appear here regularly. I think that’s pretty clever on one level and risky for the progressive groups on another. The ads have to cost the groups more to win out over conservative ads. The resulting idea seems to be to deny conservative bloggers income from relevant ads.

The risk is that savvy people would see through this and click the ads, costing the progressive-left groups money they would otherwise use to drum up more support for their damaging agendas.

In keeping with the Google TOS, I’m NOT saying for anyone to take any action on the ads seen here- I’m just pointing out the obvious that every time a liberal ad is çlicked on here, a liberal group loses money!

Just another example of wasteful Democrat spending on the liberal, progressive, socialist, tax-and-spend, collectivist agenda.

Blue Pill Wearing Off?

January 22nd, 2010 by Dave

Is that blue pill of happiness wearing off? More Democrats are getting a taste of the reality of what we’ve been tasting all along. No blue pill of dreams for us! The voters have known for some time that the yarn spun by the far left has unraveled. (again) The ouster of the Democrats from their most holy site did not surprise anyone else as much as it did the far left. Now the Dems are starting to realize that no pill will keep truth at bay for long. The opium of campaign karma wore off six months ago and the voters sobered up way ahead of the far left. Now the shock of the red pill and its dose of reality are causing chaos in the Democrat party as the far left reels with incredulity that their precious has been cast into the fires of Mt. Doom (Lord of the Rings) and their hold on power and the drunken spell have all but vanished. Now the sane may be able to make a real change for the better.

From a July, ’09 article on WashingtonExaminer.com by David Freddoso,

“If there’s a blue pill and a red pill, and the blue pill is half the price of the red pill and works just as well, why not pay half price for the thing that’s going to make you well?” – President Obama

In last night’s press conference, President Obama seemed to be reliving that famous scene from The Matrix. The main character is offered a choice between a red pill that makes him see reality for what it is, and a blue pill that allows him to continue living in a pleasant world of illusions.

Nelson Paid Off? How Much Will His Vote Cost

December 19th, 2009 by Dave

Reports are that Senator Ben Nelson was, in effect, paid to buttress the likelihood of his health care bill vote for cloture. This has been the recent pattern for states with problematic Democrat senators- just pay them off with extra money for their state.

Our money.

Our children’s money.

Our grandchildren’s money.
